چکیده

The talk concerns minimax control problems for linear multidimensional parabolic systems with distributed uncertain perturbations and control functions acting in the Dirichlet boundary conditions. The underlying parabolic control system is functioning under hard/pointwise constraints on control and state variables. The main goal is to design a feedback control regulator that ensures the required state performance and robust stability under any feasible perturbations and minimize an energy-type functional under the worst perturbations from the given area. We develop an efficient approach to the minimax control design of constrained parabolic systems that is based on certain characteristic features of the parabolic dynamics including the transient monotonicity with respect to both controls and perturbations and the turnpike asymptotic behavior on the infinite horizon. In this way, solving a number of associated open-loop control and approximation problems, we justify an easily implemented suboptimal structure of the feedback boundary regulator and compute its optimal parameters ensuring the required state performance and robust stability of the closed-loop, highly nonlinear parabolic control system on the infinite horizon. The primary motivation for this study came from certain environmental models, in particular, those developed within the Dynamical System and Environmental Projects of the International Institute of Applied System Analysis (IIASA), Laxenburg, Austria. Structurally Constrained H∞ Suboptimal Control Design Using an Iterative Linear Matrix Inequality Algorithm Based on a Dual Design Formulation

A general approach for solving structurally constrained H ∞ suboptimal control problems is proposed. The structurally constrained problems include static output feedback control, decentralized control, and fixed controllers for different operating conditions. The approach uses a dual design formulation based on an H ∞ state-feedback controller parametrization result. The dual design condition i...

Active control vibration of circular and rectangular plate with Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) Method

Natural vibration analysis of plates represents an important issue in engineering applications. In this paper, a new and simplify method for vibration analysis of circular and rectangular plates is presented. The design of an effective robust controller, which consistently attenuates transverse vibration of the plate caused by an external disturbance force, is given. The dynamics of the plate i...

Minimax Control of Constrained Parabolic Systems

In this paper we formulate and study a minimax control problem for a class of parabolic systems with controlled Dirichlet boundary conditions and uncertain distributed perturbations under pointwise control and state constraints. We prove an existence theorem for minimax solutions and develop effective penalized procedures to approximate state constraints. Based on a careful variational analysis...

Output Feedback Control of Parabolic PDE Systems with Input Constraints

This paper proposes a methodology for output feedback control of parabolic PDE systems with input constraints. Initially, Galerkin’s method is used for the derivation of a finite-dimensional ODE system that captures the dominant dynamics of the PDE system. This ODE system is then used as the basis for the synthesis, via Lyapunov techniques, of stabilizing bounded output feedback control laws th...
